The Samtec EW-20-12-T-D-600 is a flexible board stacker header from the EW series, designed for board-to-board interconnection applications. It features 40 positions arranged in 2 rows with a standard 2.54mm (0.100") pitch and row spacing, enabling dense PCB layouts. The header uses through-hole mounting with solder termination for robust mechanical attachment.
Contact finish is pure tin over 50 µ" (1.27 µm) nickel underplating on phosphor bronze terminals. The insulator is black glass filled polyester. This part uses lead style 12, resulting in an overall length of 26.16mm (1.030") and a tail length of 8.382mm (0.330"). The stacker height is 15.24mm (0.600"), providing a fixed spacing between stacked boards.
The operating temperature range is -55°C to +105°C with tin finish. Processing is limited to lead wave soldering only; it is not lead-free solderable. This header mates with Samtec series such as SSW, SSQ, ESW, ESQ, and others. For designs requiring gold plating, Samtec recommends mechanical board spacers for added stability.
