The Intel EV1320QI is a highly efficient DC-DC converter specifically engineered for DDR memory termination applications. It provides a compact, non-isolated solution with up to 96% efficiency, suitable for DDR2, DDR3, DDR4, QDR, and low power DDR3/DDR4 JEDEC VTT requirements.
This device operates directly from the VDDQ supply rail and delivers a stable VTT output voltage that tracks VDDQ/2 ± 40mV. It can source and sink up to 2A of continuous output current, with the capability to parallel up to four devices for an 8A VTT current requirement. The EV1320QI features an enable pin with output discharge for S3 (suspend to RAM) states and includes programmable soft-start/soft-shutdown.
Designed for a small solution footprint, the EV1320QI comes in a 3mm x 3mm x 0.55mm 16-pin QFN package. It requires minimal external MLCC capacitors and no external inductor. Integrated protection features include thermal overload, over-current, short-circuit, and under-voltage protection, ensuring robust operation.
