The Intel ET4040QI is a high-speed, high-density, monolithic powertrain integrated circuit (IC) with integrated sensing features. Optimized for low duty cycle operation, it is an ideal solution for FPGA core, processor, or DDR memory applications.
This IC maintains excellent efficiency at operating frequencies of 1 MHz or greater, achieving 95% peak efficiency at 600 KHz (1.8 V 10A) and a maximum operating frequency of 3 MHz. Its design results in a 35% improvement in power density compared to competing solutions, utilizing 50% to 75% less inductance and significantly less capacitance.
The ET4040QI enables very high efficiency delivery for single- and multi-phase controllers. As a monolithic driver plus MOSFET, it offers significantly better reliability and thermal performance. It is compatible with Pb-free manufacturing lines and is RoHS-compliant.
Packaged in a 46-QFN (5.5x7.5) with an exposed pad, the ET4040QI is designed for surface mounting. It operates within a voltage range of 4.5V to 14.5V and has an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
