The ET3895 from ETEK Microelectronics is a low power voltage detector designed for monitoring battery, power supply, and regulated system voltages. This supervisory circuit can monitor voltages greater than 500mV with a typical threshold accuracy of 0.25% and offers adjustable delay times using external capacitors.
The device operates from a VCC of 1.7V to 6.5V and features an external enable input (EN) to control the output. When the input voltage (IN) rises above the threshold and the EN pin is high, the output (OUT) goes high after a capacitor-adjustable delay time. Conversely, when IN falls below the threshold or EN is low, OUT goes low.
The ET3895 is specified for a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C and comes in an ultra-small µDFN6 package measuring 1.45 mm x 1.00 mm. Its low quiescent current of typically 6µA makes it suitable for battery-powered applications.
Key applications include automotive systems, DSPs, microcontrollers, microprocessors, notebooks, desktop computers, PDAs, handheld products, medical equipment, FPGAs, and ASICs.
