The Samtec ESW-106-12-S-D is a 12-position elevated socket connector from the ESW series. It features 2 rows with a 2.54mm pitch and 2.54mm row spacing, making it suitable for board-to-board interconnections. The connector uses phosphor bronze contacts with a tin finish over 50 µ" nickel, rated for 5.2A per contact (2 pins powered) and 515 VAC when mated with TSW or ESQ series. The operating temperature range is -55°C to 105°C for the tin contact finish, per the datasheet. The insulation is black glass-filled polyester with a UL94 V-0 flammability rating. This through-hole connector has a push-pull fastening type and an insulation height of 11.05mm. It is designed for lead wave soldering only and is not lead-free solderable. Maximum mating cycles are 100 with 10 µ" gold plating. This part is commonly used in applications requiring an elevated socket height for PCB stacking.
