The E-T-A ESS20-003-DC24V-10A is an electronic circuit breaker designed for selective disconnection of individual loads in systems powered by DC 24V switch-mode power supplies. It responds faster to overload or short circuit conditions than the power supply itself, preventing complete system shutdown due to a single faulty load.
This circuit breaker features active current limitation, restricting the current to 1.8 times the set rated current, allowing for the safe connection of capacitive and lamp loads. The current rating is selectable between 3A and 6A, providing flexibility for different application conditions. It includes a bicolour LED for status indication and a potential-free signal contact for failure alerts.
With a width of only 12.5 mm, the ESS20 is designed for space-saving installation in control cabinets, plugging into the E-T-A power distribution socket Module 17plus. It offers a manual ON/OFF button with push-push actuation and provides clear status and failure indication.
Key specifications include a 24VDC operating voltage (18-32V range), a selectable current rating of 3A or 6A, and a typical power consumption of 13 mA. The breaker type is solid state with a single pole. Approvals include IEC 60934 and UL1077.
