The Vishay ESH2PD-M3/84A is a high current density surface-mount ultrafast rectifier diode from the eSMP series. It features a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage of 200V and an average rectified forward current of 2A. The device offers a typical forward voltage of 0.75V at 2A and a fast reverse recovery time of 25ns, making it suitable for high-frequency switching applications.
This rectifier is housed in a compact DO-220AA (SMP) package with a typical height of 1.0mm, ideal for automated placement in space-constrained designs. The glass passivated pellet chip junction ensures reliability, while the matte tin plated leads provide excellent solderability. The device operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 175°C and can handle peak forward surge currents up to 50A.
Typical applications include secondary rectification and freewheeling in AC/DC and DC/DC converters, particularly in high-temperature environments for consumer and automotive systems. The ESH2PD-M3/84A is RoHS-compliant, halogen-free, and meets MSL level 1 per J-STD-020, with an AEC-Q101 qualification for automotive use.
