The ESDU5V0T5-TP is a 2-channel unidirectional TVS diode manufactured by Micro Commercial Company, designed for protecting sensitive electronic circuits from electrostatic discharge (ESD) and voltage transients. It features a reverse working voltage of 5V and a reverse breakdown voltage range of 5.4V to 9.4V (tested at IT=1mA), with a typical clamping voltage of 11V at 1A peak pulse current (8/20μs waveform). The device can handle peak pulse power up to 56W and peak pulse current up to 4A under the same 8/20μs pulse condition.
With an ultra-low junction capacitance of 0.5pF (at 0V, 1MHz), this diode is well-suited for high-speed data line protection. It provides ESD protection of ±15kV (contact) and ±20kV (air) per IEC 61000-4-2, making it robust for interface and I/O port protection. The device also exhibits low reverse leakage current of 1μA at rated working voltage, and a typical forward voltage of 0.9V at 10mA.
The ESDU5V0T5-TP is housed in a compact SOT-523 surface-mount package, ideal for space-constrained PCB designs. It is rated for an operating temperature range of -55°C to +150°C. The component is RoHS3 compliant, lead-free, and halogen-free, meeting modern environmental standards.
