The ESDCAN24-2BLY is a dual-line Transil transient voltage suppressor from STMicroelectronics designed specifically for protecting automotive CAN bus lines against electrostatic discharge (ESD) and other transient events. This bidirectional device provides robust protection with a breakdown voltage range of 27V to 32V and a standoff voltage of 24V. It offers a maximum clamping voltage of 43V at 5A (8/20 µs) and can handle peak pulse currents up to 5.5A with a peak pulse power rating of 230W.
This TVS diode is AEC-Q101 qualified and complies with ISO 10605 ESD standards, providing ±30kV contact and air discharge protection. It also meets ISO 7637-3 pulse requirements for automotive environments, making it suitable for harsh automotive electrical conditions. The low leakage current of 0.1 µA ensures minimal power loss during normal operation.
The component is supplied in a surface-mount SOT23-3 package, supporting compact PCB designs. Its operating temperature range spans -40°C to +150°C, allowing reliable performance under extreme automotive conditions. The device is ECOPACK2 compliant, meeting RoHS and REACH environmental standards.
The standoff voltage (V_RM) is 24 V.
The breakdown voltage is 27 V (minimum) to 32 V (maximum) at I_R = 1 mA.
The maximum clamping voltage is 43 V at 8/20 µs, 5 A peak pulse current.
The maximum peak pulse current is 5.5 A under 8/20 µs condition.
The device is offered in a surface-mount SOT-23-3 package.
Yes, it is AEC-Q101 qualified and designed for automotive CAN bus protection.
It provides ±30 kV contact and air discharge protection per ISO 10605 with C=150 pF, R=330 Ω.
