The ESD9D5.0ST5G is a bidirectional ESD protection diode designed by On Semiconductor to protect sensitive voltage components from electrostatic discharge and transient voltage events. It offers a reverse standoff voltage of 5V and a typical clamping voltage of 13.5V, with an ultra-low capacitance of 0.6pF at 1MHz, making it suitable for high-frequency applications such as USB 2.0 and antenna lines.
Key electrical characteristics include a peak pulse current rating of 1A (8/20μs), response time typically less than 1ns, and ESD protection capability of ±8kV contact and air discharge per IEC 61000-4-2. The device provides two bidirectional channels in a single package.
The diode is housed in a small SOD-923 surface-mount package with dimensions of 1.00mm x 0.60mm and a low body height of 0.4mm, ideal for space-constrained designs. It is lead-free (Pb-Free) and meets MSL 1 requirements for moisture sensitivity, with an operating junction temperature range of -55°C to 150°C.
