The ESD8006MUTAG is a low capacitance ESD protection diode array designed by ON Semiconductor for high-speed data line protection. It features a maximum reverse working voltage of 3.3V and a typical clamping voltage of 8.4V, with a peak pulse current capability of 16A. The device offers ultra-low capacitance of 0.25pF maximum (I/O to GND at 1MHz), ensuring minimal signal degradation on high-speed differential lines.
It meets IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4 ESD protection with ±15kV contact and air discharge ratings. The device is housed in a flow-through UDFN8 package (8-UDFN 3.3x1.0 with 10 pins), which simplifies PCB layout and helps maintain consistent impedance. Operating temperature range is -55°C to 125°C junction temperature.
The ESD8006MUTAG is RoHS compliant, Pb-Free, and Halogen Free/BFR Free. The SZ prefix variant is AEC-Q101 qualified and PPAP capable for automotive applications. Typical applications include USB 3.0/3.1, Thunderbolt, and Display Port interfaces.
