The ESD8004MUTAG is a low capacitance ESD protection diode array from onsemi, designed to safeguard high-speed data lines such as USB 3.0/3.1, eSATA, and DisplayPort from electrostatic discharge (ESD) events. It meets IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4 ESD protection standards, providing ±15kV contact and air discharge protection.
This device features ultra-low capacitance of 0.35 pF maximum (I/O to GND), ensuring signal integrity for high-speed differential pairs. The flow-through UDFN10 package (2.5x1.0mm) simplifies PCB layout and maintains matched trace lengths for consistent impedance.
Key electrical specifications include a maximum reverse working voltage of 3.3V, a minimum breakdown voltage of 5.5V, and a typical clamping voltage of 8V. The device can handle a peak pulse current of 16A. It is Pb-free, halogen-free/BFR-free, and RoHS compliant. The operating junction temperature range is -55°C to +125°C.
