The ESD7C3.3DT5G is a surface-mount ESD protection diode from onsemi, designed to protect voltage-sensitive components from electrostatic discharge. It is part of the ESD7C series and comes in a compact SOT-723 package measuring 1.20 mm x 1.20 mm with a body height of 0.5 mm. The device features a stand-off voltage of 3.3 V and two unidirectional channels.
This diode offers a typical capacitance of 13 pF at 1 MHz and a fast response time of less than 1 ns, making it suitable for high-speed signal lines. It provides ESD protection rated at ±8 kV per IEC 61000-4-2 contact discharge and ±15 kV air discharge, and exceeds 16 kV per the Human Body Model (Class 3). The total power dissipation is 240 mW on an FR-5 board at 25°C, with a junction-to-ambient thermal resistance of 525 °C/W.
The device is qualified for a maximum reflow temperature of 260 °C and a lead solder temperature of 260 °C for 10 seconds. It operates over a junction and storage temperature range of -55 °C to +150 °C. The SOT-723 package is void-free, transfer-molded thermosetting plastic with 100% matte tin lead finish and meets UL 94 V-0 flammability rating.
Typical applications include cellular phones, portable devices, digital cameras, and power supplies, where board space is limited and ESD protection is required.
