The ESD7331MUT5G is an ESD protection diode designed by On Semiconductor to protect voltage sensitive components from electrostatic discharge and transient voltage events. It offers excellent clamping capability, low capacitance, low leakage, and fast response time, making it ideal for designs where board space is at a premium.
Key electrical specifications include a reverse working voltage of 3.3V, breakdown voltage of 4.0V (minimum at 1mA), typical clamping voltage of 7.5V at 1A, and ultra-low junction capacitance of 0.4pF typical (0.75pF maximum). The device provides IEC 61000-4-2 ESD protection of ±15kV contact and ±15kV air discharge. Maximum power dissipation is 250mW.
Due to its low capacitance, the ESD7331MUT5G is well suited for high frequency designs such as USB 2.0/3.0, MHL 2.0, and eSATA interfaces. The device is packaged in a tiny 2-X3DFN (0.6x0.3mm) 0201 surface mount package with a body height of 0.3mm. It is supplied in tape and reel packaging with 15,000 pieces per reel.
The device is Pb-Free, Halogen Free/BFR Free, and RoHS compliant. Operating temperature range is -55°C to 150°C junction temperature.
