The ESD7004MUTAG is a low capacitance ESD protection diode from On Semiconductor designed to protect high speed data lines from electrostatic discharge. It provides protection for IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4 ESD strikes with ±15 kV contact and air discharge capability.
The device features a reverse standoff voltage of 5 V and a clamping voltage of 10 V at 1 A (8/20 µs pulse). It offers ultra-low junction capacitance of 0.4 pF typical (I/O to GND) and 0.2 pF typical between I/O pins, making it suitable for high speed interfaces such as USB 3.0 and HDMI. The typical ESD clamping voltage is 11.4 V at 8 A TLP.
The ESD7004MUTAG is housed in a 10-UDFN package (2.5x1 mm) with a flow-through design for easy PCB layout and matched trace lengths. It is surface mount and Pb-free. The operating temperature range is -55°C to 125°C.
