ESD5Z7.0T1G

The ESD5Z7.0T1G is a unidirectional Zener TVS diode from the ESD5Z series by ON Semiconductor. It is designed to protect voltage-sensitive components from electrostatic discharge (ESD) and transient voltage events. With a nominal stand-off voltage of 7.0V and a maximum clamping voltage of 22.7V, it provides effective voltage limiting in low-voltage circuits. The diode can handle 200W peak pulse power (8/20µs pulse) and a peak pulse current of 8.8A. It features a fast response time of less than 1 ns, low leakage, and a typical capacitance of 65 pF at 1 MHz. The device meets IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4 ESD protection and has an HBM ESD rating greater than 16 kV. The ESD5Z7.0T1G is housed in a compact SOD-523 surface mount package (also known as SC-79). It supports a wide operating temperature range from -55°C to 150°C. The device is RoHS3 compliant and Pb-free, with MSL 1 rating. It is suitable for general purpose ESD protection in applications such as cellular phones, portable devices, digital cameras, and power supplies where board space is limited.
