The ESD5Z3.3T1G is a unidirectional TVS diode from onsemi, part of the ESD5Z series, designed to protect sensitive electronics from electrostatic discharge (ESD) and transient voltage events. It offers a stand-off voltage of 3.3V and a clamping voltage of 14.1V at a peak pulse current of 11.2A (8/20µs). The device can handle peak pulse power up to 158W (240W per datasheet under different conditions) and features an extremely fast response time of less than 1ns.
This diode is rated for ESD protection up to ±30kV contact and air discharge per IEC61000-4-2, and 16kV HBM. It also meets IEC61000-4-4 EFT protection at 40A. The device is housed in a compact SOD-523 (SC-79) surface-mount package with body dimensions of 1.20mm x 0.80mm x 0.7mm, making it suitable for space-constrained designs.
Typical applications include cellular phones, portable devices, digital cameras, power supplies, and other portable electronics. The part is RoHS3 compliant, Pb-free, and MSL 1 rated. It is supplied in tape and reel packaging with 3000 pieces per reel.
