The ESD5Z12T1G is a Zener TVS diode designed for ESD protection in space-constrained applications. It features a typical clamping voltage of 25V at 8/20 µs pulse and can handle peak pulse currents up to 9.6A, with a peak pulse power rating of 240W. The device offers excellent ESD protection meeting IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4 (±30 kV contact and air) and IEC 61000-4-4 Level 4 EFT protection (40A).
With a response time of less than 1 ns and low capacitance of 55 pF at 1 MHz, this diode is suitable for high-speed data lines and portable electronics. It is unidirectional with a single channel and operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 150°C.
The ESD5Z12T1G is housed in a compact SOD-523 surface mount package measuring 1.20 mm x 0.80 mm with a low body height of 0.7 mm. It is supplied in tape and reel packaging with a standard quantity of 3000 pieces. The device is RoHS compliant and meets MSL 1 requirements.
