The ESD5B5.0ST5G is a bi-directional ESD protection diode from On Semiconductor, designed to protect voltage-sensitive components from electrostatic discharge. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 5V (max) and a nominal breakdown voltage of 6.4V at 1mA. The clamping voltage is 9.9V (max) at a peak pulse current of 8A (8x20µs waveform), with a peak pulse power handling of 50W. The device offers ultra-low capacitance of 32pF at 1MHz, making it suitable for high-speed signal lines. It provides excellent ESD protection with ratings of ±30kV contact and air discharge per IEC 61000-4-2, >16kV HBM, and 400V MM. The response time is typically less than 1ns. The diode is housed in a compact SOD-523 (SC-79) surface mount package with body dimensions of 1.6mm x 0.8mm x 0.6mm. It is Pb-free, RoHS compliant, and meets MSL 1 requirements. The epoxy molding compound is UL 94 V-0 rated. The device is ideal for protecting audio lines and other interfaces in portable electronics such as cellular phones and MP3 players.
The reverse standoff voltage is 5V (max).
The nominal breakdown voltage is 6.4V at 1mA test current.
The maximum clamping voltage is 9.9V at a peak pulse current of 8A (8x20µs waveform).
The peak pulse power is 50W for an 8x20µs waveform.
The typical junction capacitance is 32pF at 1MHz with 0V bias.
It provides ±30kV contact and air discharge per IEC 61000-4-2, >16kV HBM, and 400V Machine Model.
