The ESD5481MUT5G is a bidirectional ESD protection diode designed to protect voltage sensitive components from electrostatic discharge (ESD) and electrical fast transients (EFT). With a reverse working voltage of 5V and a clamping voltage of 12.4V, it provides robust protection for low-voltage circuits. The device features a low capacitance of 12pF typical at 1MHz and a fast response time of less than 1ns, making it suitable for high-speed data lines.
This diode meets IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4 ESD protection (±20kV contact and air) and IEC 61000-4-4 Level 4 EFT protection (40A at 5/50ns). The peak pulse current is 2A under an 8/20µs waveform. It operates over a temperature range of -55°C to 150°C and dissipates up to 300mW on FR-5 board.
