The ESD122DMYR from Texas Instruments is a low-capacitance Zener TVS diode designed to protect high-speed data lines such as HDMI and USB from electrostatic discharge. With a reverse standoff voltage of 3.6V and a typical clamping voltage of 8.4V, it provides reliable protection while maintaining signal integrity. The device can handle a peak pulse current of 2.5A (8/20µs) and a peak pulse power of 20W.
The ESD122DMYR features two bidirectional channels, making it suitable for differential pair protection. Its ultra-low capacitance of 0.2pF at 1MHz ensures minimal signal degradation for high-speed interfaces. The TVS diode is surface mounted in a compact 3-XFDFN package with a 3-X2SON (1.3x0.6) footprint, ideal for space-constrained designs.
This device operates over a wide temperature range of -40°C to 125°C, making it suitable for various environments. It is not intended for power line protection, as indicated by the power line protection specification being false.
