The MDD ES2J is a super fast recovery rectifier diode designed for surface mount applications. It is rated for a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage of 600V and an average forward current of 2.0A at TL=125°C. The device is housed in a DO-214AC (SMA) package, which is suitable for automated assembly.
The diode exhibits a typical forward voltage of 1.68V at 2A forward current and a maximum reverse current of 5.0µA at 25°C, increasing to 100µA at 125°C. It can handle a peak forward surge current of 50A (8.3ms single half sine-wave). The reverse recovery time is typically 35ns under test conditions IF=0.5A, IR=1.0A, Irr=0.25A, making it suitable for high-frequency switching applications.
The device operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 150°C. The thermal resistance from junction to ambient is 60°C/W typical when mounted on a PCB with 0.2x0.2" copper pad areas. The package is supplied in tape and reel packaging with 5000 pieces per reel.
The ES2J is RoHS3 compliant and REACH unaffected. It is sold with a solder-plated termination finish. The package is rated UL 94V-0 for flammability.
