The ES2G-E3/5BT is a surface-mount ultrafast plastic rectifier from Vishay General Semiconductor, designed for high frequency rectification and freewheeling applications in switching mode converters and inverters. It offers a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage of 400V and an average rectified forward current of 2A. The device features an ultrafast reverse recovery time of 35ns (tested at 0.5A) and 50ns (tested at 1A), enabling low switching losses and high efficiency. Forward voltage is limited to 1.1V at 2A, and the junction capacitance is typically 15pF at 4V, 1MHz. The diode is housed in a DO-214AA (SMB) package, suitable for automated placement, with matte tin plated leads that are solderable per J-STD-002 and JESD 22-B102. It meets MSL level 1, RoHS3 compliant, and operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to +150°C.
