The ES2B-13 by Diodes Incorporated is a 2.0A surface mount super-fast rectifier designed for high efficiency rectification applications. The device features a peak repetitive reverse voltage of 100V, a forward voltage of 0.92V at 2.0A, and a fast reverse recovery time of 25ns. It can handle a non-repetitive peak forward surge current of 50A, enabling robust performance in demanding circuits.
The rectifier uses a glass passivated die construction for reliability and is housed in a DO-214AA (SMB) package with solder plated terminals. The UL 94V-0 rated molded plastic case, along with MSL Level 1 moisture sensitivity, ensures suitability for automated assembly and various environmental conditions. The device is also available in a lead-free finish / RoHS compliant version.
Typical applications include high frequency power supplies, DC-DC converters, freewheeling diodes, and polarity protection circuits where fast switching and low forward voltage drop are required. The wide operating temperature range of -55°C to 150°C makes it suitable for demanding environments.
