The ES1D-E3/5AT is an ultrafast rectifier diode from Vishay General Semiconductor, designed for high-frequency rectification and freewheeling applications in switching mode converters and inverters. It is rated for a repetitive peak reverse voltage (VRRM) of 200V and an average rectified current (IF(AV)) of 1A. The diode offers a low forward voltage drop of 0.92V maximum at 1A, contributing to reduced power losses. With a reverse recovery time (trr) of 25ns (maximum), it enables efficient high-speed switching.
The device is housed in a surface-mount DO-214AC (SMA) package with matte tin plated terminals and a color band denoting the cathode end. It is RoHS3 compliant (E3 suffix) and meets MSL level 1 per J-STD-020, with a maximum peak reflow temperature of 260°C. The junction temperature range extends up to 150°C, and the diode can handle a peak forward surge current of 30A (8.3ms single half sine-wave). Typical applications include consumer, computer, automotive, and telecommunication power supplies.
