The Intel EPF10K20RC240-3 is a member of the FLEX 10K family of embedded programmable logic devices (PLDs), representing the industry's first such family. These FPGAs are based on reconfigurable CMOS SRAM elements and incorporate features for implementing megafunctions, including efficient memory and specialized logic functions.

This specific device features 20,000 typical gates and 63,000 maximum system gates, with 1152 logic elements (LEs) and 144 logic array blocks (LABs). It provides 12,288 bits of total RAM and supports 189 user I/O pins. The operating supply voltage is specified between 4.75V and 5.25V, with an operating temperature range of 0°C to 70°C.

The FLEX 10K family offers System-on-a-Programmable-Chip (SOPC) integration capabilities, allowing for the integration of complex systems into a single device. They are designed for high density and system-level features, including MultiVolt I/O interface support and 5.0-V tolerant input pins in FLEX 10KA devices.
