The Altera FLEX 10K family, including the EPF10K10LC84-4N, represents the industry's first embedded programmable logic device (PLD) family, enabling System-on-a-Programmable-Chip (SOPC) integration. This device features an embedded array for implementing megafunctions like efficient memory and specialized logic, alongside a logic array for general logic functions.
With a high density, the EPF10K10LC84-4N offers 10,000 typical gates (logic and RAM) and up to 6,144 RAM bits. It supports MultiVolt I/O interface and 5.0-V tolerant input pins. The device also includes built-in Joint Test Action Group (JTAG) boundary-scan test circuitry compliant with IEEE Std. 1149.1-1990.
Designed for flexibility, the FLEX 10K devices operate with a 3.3-V or 5.0-V supply voltage and support in-circuit reconfigurability. They incorporate low-skew clock distribution trees and offer 100% functional testing. The EPF10K10LC84-4N is packaged in an 84-CQFP with surface mount capabilities.
