The EP5357LUI is a 600mA PowerSoC (Power System on Chip) synchronous buck regulator from Intel, integrating MOSFET switches, control circuitry, compensation, and magnetics in a compact 2.5mm x 2.25mm 16-µQFN package. With an integrated inductor, the total solution footprint is only 14mm², enabling high-density designs.\n\nThis non-isolated point-of-load module operates from an input voltage range of 2.4V to 5.5V and provides a programmable output voltage from 0.6V up to VIN – 0.25V using a 3-pin VID interface, supporting dynamic voltage scaling. Switching at a typical 5 MHz frequency, the EP5357LUI achieves up to 93% efficiency with a quiescent current of just 55µA and less than 1µA standby current.\n\nThe module includes comprehensive protection features: overcurrent protection (OCP), short-circuit protection (SCP), undervoltage lockout (UVLO), and overtemperature protection (OTP). The enable pin with active high control simplifies power sequencing. Typical applications include wireless and RF systems, broadband data cards, smartphones, portable media players, and low-power processors.\n\nThe EP5357LUI is supplied in a 16-lead PowerTFQFN surface-mount package with dimensions of 2.5mm x 2.3mm x 1.1mm. It is available in tape and reel packaging and is rated for operation from -40°C to 85°C.
