The Mini-Circuits EP2K+ is a high-performance MMIC (Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit) power splitter/combiner engineered for demanding applications across a wide frequency range of 5 to 20 GHz. This device excels in providing robust power handling, capable of managing up to 2.5W as a splitter at 25°C, and up to 1.7W internal dissipation as a combiner.
Designed for efficiency and reliability, the EP2K+ features excellent amplitude and phase balance, with typical values of 0.1 dB and 2-5° respectively. Its ability to pass up to 1.2A of DC current makes it suitable for applications where both RF and DC signals need to traverse the same path, such as in antenna-mounted hardware.
The component is housed in a compact 4x4mm QFN surface-mount package, minimizing board space and facilitating dense layouts. Manufactured using GaAs IPD technology, it offers a high level of ESD protection and overall excellent reliability. The EP2K+ is also aqueous washable, simplifying the manufacturing process.
