EN6310QI

The Intel® Enpirion® EN6310QI is a highly integrated Power System on a Chip (PowerSoC) DC-DC converter designed for high-performance, low-power applications. This device combines the inductor, MOSFET switches, and control circuitry into a single 4mm x 5mm x 1.85mm 30-pin QFN package, simplifying board design and reducing component count.

Key electrical specifications include a continuous output current of 1A, an input voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V, and an output voltage range from 0.6V to 3.3V. The EN6310QI operates at a high switching frequency of 2.2MHz, enabling fast transient response and low output ripple, typically 4mV. It achieves high efficiency of up to 96% and includes essential protection features such as Under Voltage Lock-out (UVLO), short circuit, over current, and thermal protection.

This converter is suitable for applications requiring precise voltage and fast transient response, including FPGAs (Altera MAX, Arria, Cyclone, Stratix), SERDES and IO supplies, solid-state drives, and noise-sensitive wireless and RF applications. The integrated design and small footprint contribute to a reduced solution size, less than 65mm².
