The EN5366QI from Intel is a high-performance non-isolated Point-of-Load (PoL) DC-DC converter designed as a Power System on a Chip (PowerSoC). It integrates a synchronous buck converter with an inductor, MOSFETs, and controller into a compact 58-PowerQFN package (12x10mm). With a wide input voltage range of 2.375V to 5.5V, it can provide a regulated output voltage from 0.75V to 3.3V at up to 6A continuous current (20W). The device operates at a 5MHz switching frequency, enabling the use of small external ceramic capacitors and reducing board space.
Key features include remote on/off, overcurrent protection (OCP), overtemperature protection (OTP), overvoltage protection (OVP), short-circuit protection (SCP), and under-voltage lockout (UVLO). The enable control is active high. The module is designed for commercial ITE applications and is RoHS3 compliant with an MSL of level 3.
The integrated inductor simplifies PCB layout and reduces EMI, making it suitable for low-noise designs. The device is surface mounted and operates over a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. With only three external capacitors required, the EN5366QI offers a compact and efficient power solution for FPGAs, ASICs, DSPs, and memory systems.
The input voltage range is 2.375V to 5.5V.
The output voltage is adjustable from 0.75V to 3.3V via an external resistor divider.
The maximum output current is 6A.
Typical efficiency is 93%.
The operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C.
The package is a 58-PowerQFN Module, also known as 58-QFN (12x10mm).
Yes, it is RoHS3 compliant.
