The Bourns EMS22A30-C28-LS6 is a non-contacting magnetic absolute encoder designed for reliable position sensing. It offers a resolution of 1024 positions per revolution and a continuous electrical travel.
This encoder operates with supply voltages of 3.3 VDC or 5.0 VDC, drawing a maximum of 20 mA. The output signals are CMOS and TTL compatible, with low output voltage at Vss+0.4 V maximum and high output voltage at Vdd-0.5 V minimum. It supports output currents of up to 4 mA with a 4.5 VDC supply and 2 mA with a 3.0 VDC supply. The rise/fall time for the incremental output is a maximum of 500 ns.
Designed for ease of integration, the EMS22A30-C28-LS6 features a panel mount configuration with PC pin termination and a vertical orientation. It has a 1/4" diameter flatted end actuator and a rotational life of at least 100 million cycles. The encoder is also available with a sealed option for enhanced durability.
