The EMI5206MUTAG is a six-channel Pi-style RC EMI filter array with integrated ESD protection from On Semiconductor. Each channel consists of a 100Ω series resistor and a 7pF capacitor to ground, providing a typical cutoff frequency of 250 MHz and stopband attenuation greater than 20 dB from 800 MHz to 5 GHz. This performance makes the device ideal for filtering interference from wireless signals such as 2G/3G, GPS, Bluetooth, and WLAN on parallel interfaces with data rates up to 167 Mbps.

 

The filter offers ±8 kV contact discharge ESD protection per IEC61000-4-2 Level 4 on each channel, eliminating the need for separate ESD protection components. The integrated solution saves board space and improves system reliability. The device is housed in a low-profile 12-lead UDFN package with an exposed pad (12-UFDFN) measuring 2.5 mm x 1.35 mm x 0.55 mm and a 0.4 mm lead pitch. It is surface mountable and operates over a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
