The EMI5204MUTAG from ON Semiconductor is a 4-channel low pass RC (Pi) EMI filter array with integrated ESD protection. Each channel consists of a 100Ω resistor and 7pF capacitor in a Pi configuration, providing a cutoff frequency of 250MHz and stop band attenuation greater than 20dB from 800MHz to 5GHz. This performance makes it ideal for suppressing interference from wireless signals such as 2G/3G, GPS, Bluetooth, and WLAN in data lines for mobile devices.
The filter offers ±8kV ESD protection per channel (IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4 contact discharge), ensuring robust protection for sensitive circuitry. The device is housed in a compact 8-lead UDFN package with an exposed pad, measuring 1.70mm x 1.35mm x 0.55mm, suitable for space-constrained surface mount applications. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C. This Pb-free device is RoHS3 compliant and REACH unaffected.
