The EL5373IUZ is a triple-channel differential twisted-pair driver from Intersil, designed for driving twisted-pair lines in component video and other high-speed applications. It provides a fixed gain of 2 V/V and a bandwidth of 450 MHz, with a typical slew rate of 1100 V/µs. The device operates from a single 5V or dual ±5V supply, with a supply voltage range of 4.75V to 11V. Each channel can deliver up to 40 mA of output current and features an enable pin for power management.

 

The EL5373IUZ offers excellent linearity with typical 2nd harmonic distortion of -84 dB and 3rd harmonic distortion of -62 dB at 2Vpp and 5MHz. It has a common mode rejection ratio of 80 dB and power supply rejection ratio of 73 dB. The input offset voltage is typically 30 mV maximum, and the input voltage noise density is 25 nV/√Hz. The device supports rail-to-rail input swing to the negative supply (-Vs) but does not have rail-to-rail output.

 

The driver is specified for operation over the full industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. It is available in a 24-lead QSOP package. The EL5373IUZ is the lead-free (RoHS compliant) variant of the EL5373 series, with the 'Z' suffix indicating Pb-free finish.
