The EGP50C-E3/54 is a glass passivated ultrafast rectifier diode from Vishay General Semiconductor designed for high frequency rectification and freewheeling applications in switching mode converters and inverters for consumer, computer, and telecommunication equipment.
This diode features a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage of 150V and an average forward current rating of 5A. It achieves a fast reverse recovery time of 50ns, with a low forward voltage drop of 950 mV at 5A, contributing to high efficiency and low switching losses.
Housed in a through-hole GP20 case (DO-201AA, DO-27, Axial), the device has matte tin plated leads and is rated for operation over a temperature range of -65°C to 150°C. It offers a high peak forward surge current capability of 150A and low leakage current of 5 µA at 25°C. The junction is glass passivated for cavity-free reliability.
