The EGP20G-E3/73 is a glass passivated ultrafast plastic rectifier diode from Vishay General Semiconductor, designed for high frequency rectification and freewheeling applications in switching mode converters and inverters. It offers a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage of 400V and an average forward current of 2A at 55°C ambient with 0.375" lead length. The device features an ultrafast reverse recovery time of 50 ns (maximum) and a low forward voltage drop of 1.25V maximum at 2A, contributing to high efficiency and low switching losses. With a peak forward surge current capability of 75A and low leakage current (5 µA at 25°C, 100 µA at 125°C), it provides robust performance in demanding environments. The diode is packaged in a DO-204AC (DO-15) axial lead case with a color band cathode marking, and it is RoHS3 compliant. The operating temperature range spans -65°C to +150°C, with typical thermal resistance of 40°C/W junction-to-ambient and 15°C/W junction-to-lead.
