The EGP20D is a 200V, 2A fast recovery rectifier diode from On Semiconductor, part of the EGP20 series of high efficiency rectifiers. It features a glass-passivated cavity-free junction for high reliability, low leakage current, and high surge current capability. The device offers a maximum forward voltage of 950 mV at 2A and a reverse recovery time of 50 ns, making it suitable for high frequency switching applications.
Electrical characteristics include a peak repetitive reverse voltage of 200V, average rectified current of 2A, and peak forward surge current of 75A (8.3 ms single half-sine-wave). The junction capacitance is typically 70 pF at 4V and 1 MHz. Thermal characteristics include a maximum junction-to-ambient thermal resistance of 40°C/W and junction-to-lead of 15°C/W, with a total device dissipation of 3.13W at 25°C.
The EGP20D is packaged in a DO-204AC (DO-15) axial lead package with through-hole mounting. It operates over a junction temperature range of -65°C to 150°C. This diode is designed for general purpose rectification, freewheeling, and snubber circuits in power supplies and converters.
