The EGL41G-E3/96 is a surface-mount, glass passivated ultrafast rectifier diode from Vishay General Semiconductor, part of the EGL41 series. It is designed for high-frequency rectification and freewheeling applications in switching mode converters and inverters. The device features a superectifier structure for high reliability, a cavity-free glass-passivated junction, and meets MSL level 1 per J-STD-020. Key electrical characteristics include a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage of 400V, an average forward rectified current of 1A, and a peak forward surge current of 30A. The reverse recovery time is typically 50ns, enabling efficient operation at high frequencies.
