The Samtec DW-20-14-L-D-1000 is a flexible board stacking header from the DW series, designed for elevated board-to-board stacking applications. It features 40 positions arranged in 2 rows with a 2.54mm pitch and row spacing, and a fixed tail length of 2.794mm (0.110"). The insulator is made of black glass filled polyester, and the terminals are phosphor bronze with 10µin (0.25µm) gold plating on the contact area and matte tin on the tail.
This through-hole header supports a stacker height of 25.4mm (1.000") and has an overall length of 36.32mm (1.430"). It operates over a temperature range of -55°C to +125°C with gold plating. The part is packaged in bulk and is RoHS3 compliant with MSL 1 (not moisture sensitive). Note that it is not lead-free solderable and requires lead wave soldering only.
The DW series allows designers to specify non-standard board stacking heights by adjusting the body position on the terminal pin in 0.005" increments. This part is suitable for prototyping and production assemblies requiring precise board spacing.
