The DSS4160T-7 is a 60V NPN low saturation transistor manufactured by Diodes Incorporated. It features a continuous collector current of 1A and a peak pulse current of 2A. The device has a very low collector-emitter saturation voltage of 280mV at 1A, making it suitable for high efficiency switching applications. The DC current gain (hFE) is a minimum of 200 at 500mA and 5V. With a transition frequency of 150MHz, it is suitable for moderate speed switching.
The transistor is housed in a compact SOT23-3 surface mount package (also designated TO-236-3 and SC-59). It has a total power dissipation of 725mW and is rated for an operating junction temperature range of -55°C to 150°C. The device is AEC-Q101 qualified, ensuring high reliability for automotive applications. It is also fully RoHS compliant and halogen-free (green device).
ESD protection is rated at 4kV HBM (Class 3A) and 400V MM (Class C). Thermal resistance junction-to-ambient is 172°C/W and junction-to-leads is 79°C/W. The package is molded plastic with UL flammability rating 94V-0. Terminals are matte tin plated leads, solderable per MIL-STD-202 Method 208. The device is available in tape and reel packaging with 3000 units per 7-inch reel on 8mm tape.
