The DSILC6-4P6 is a monolithic steering diode array from STMicroelectronics that provides ESD protection for four high-speed data lines. It uses a rail-to-rail topology with a reverse standoff voltage of 5V and a minimum breakdown voltage of 6V at 1mA. The device offers a typical capacitance of only 2pF at 1MHz, minimizing signal degradation on high-speed interfaces such as USB 2.0, Ethernet, and display serial interfaces.
Key electrical characteristics include a peak pulse power rating of 120W, a maximum leakage current of 0.5µA at 5V, and a typical forward voltage of 1V at 10mA. The DSILC6-4P6 meets IEC 61000-4-2 level 4 ESD requirements with 15kV air discharge and 8kV contact discharge capability. It also complies with MIL STD 883E Method 3015-7 class 3 (HBM) with 25kV withstand.
The device is housed in a compact SOT-666 surface-mount package, occupying only 2.9mm² of PCB space. It supports an operating temperature range of -55°C to +150°C and a maximum junction temperature of 125°C. The lead-free package is RoHS compliant. Applications include computers, printers, communication systems, cell phone handsets, video equipment, and any system requiring ESD protection for high-speed interfaces.
