The IXYS DSI45-16AR is a standard recovery rectifier diode designed for high voltage and high current applications. It features a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage (VRRM) of 1600 V and an average forward current (IF(AV)M) of 48 A at a case temperature of 105°C. The diode can withstand non-repetitive peak surge currents up to 475 A (50 Hz) and 520 A (60 Hz).
Its forward voltage is a maximum of 1.18 V at 40 A and 25°C junction temperature, and the reverse current at maximum junction temperature and rated voltage is limited to 3 mA. The device offers a typical thermal resistance from junction to case of 0.55 K/W, aiding in thermal management.
The DSI45-16AR comes in a TO-247-3 package with an ISOPLUS247 supplier device package, designed for through hole mounting. The isolated version (indicated by the 'R' suffix) provides 2500 V isolation voltage and is UL recognized (E153432). The epoxy molding meets UL 94V-0 flammability standards.
The maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage is 1600 V.
The maximum average forward current (IF(AV)M) is 48 A at a case temperature of 105°C with a 180° sine wave conduction.
The maximum forward voltage is 1.18 V at a forward current of 40 A and a junction temperature of 25°C.
