The IXYS DSI45-12A is a standard recovery rectifier diode designed for high voltage and high current applications. It features a repetitive peak reverse voltage (VRRM) of 1200V and an average forward current (IF(AV)M) of 48A at a case temperature of 105°C. The diode offers a low forward voltage drop of 1.18V maximum at 40A and 25°C, and a high surge current capability of 475A (50Hz, 10ms).
This device is housed in a TO-247AD (ISOPLUS 247) through-hole package, providing robust mechanical mounting and efficient thermal management. The junction-to-case thermal resistance is 0.55 K/W maximum, and the operating junction temperature range is -40°C to 150°C. The diode uses planar glassivated chips and is suitable for applications such as DC power supplies, PWM inverter DC supplies, DC motor field supplies, and battery DC power supplies.
The maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage (VRRM) is 1200V.
The average forward current (IF(AV)M) is 48A at a case temperature of 105°C with a 180° sine wave.
