The IXYS DSEP8-12A is a fast recovery epitaxial diode designed for high efficiency rectification and freewheeling applications. It features a maximum repetitive reverse voltage of 1.2kV and an average forward current rating of 10A. The diode exhibits a low forward voltage of 2.94V at 10A and a fast reverse recovery time of 40ns, making it suitable for high-frequency switching circuits.
This device uses standard silicon epitaxial technology and is housed in a TO-220AC through-hole package, which provides good thermal performance and ease of mounting on heatsinks.
