The DSEP30-12A is a high performance fast recovery diode from IXYS, part of the HiPerFRED family. It is rated for a maximum reverse voltage of 1200V and an average rectified current of 30A. The forward voltage drop is typically 2.74V at 30A. The diode offers a fast reverse recovery time of 40ns (typical 35ns at 25°C) and very low reverse leakage current of 1mA at 25°C, increasing to 150mA at 150°C.
The device features planar passivated chips for low leakage and soft recovery behavior, which reduces EMI and switching losses. It is designed for applications such as switch mode power supplies (SMPS), uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), freewheeling diodes, snubber circuits, and antiparallel diodes for high frequency switching.
The DSEP30-12A is housed in a through-hole TO-247-2 package (supplier package TO-247AD). It operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 175°C. The maximum power dissipation is 165W at case temperature 25°C, with a thermal resistance junction-to-case of 0.9 K/W.
The maximum reverse voltage (Vr) is 1200V.
