The DSEP30-06A is a high-performance standard rectifier diode designed by IXYS. It has a maximum repetitive reverse voltage of 600V and an average rectified current of 30A. The diode features a forward voltage drop of 1.6V at 25°C and 1.25V at 150°C, ensuring efficiency in high-temperature operation. With a reverse recovery time of 35ns typical, it is suitable for high-frequency switching applications.
This diode is part of IXYS' HiPerFRED family, offering soft recovery characteristics for low EMI/RFI. It is capable of handling non-repetitive peak forward current up to 250A. The device is mounted in a through-hole TO-247-2 package (TO-247AD) with a mounting torque range of 0.8 to 1.2 Nm, and weighs approximately 6 grams.
Typical applications include antiparallel diodes for high-frequency switching devices, freewheeling diodes in converters and motor control circuits, and rectifiers in switch mode power supplies (SMPS). The DSEP30-06A is also used in UPS systems, inductive heating, and ultrasonic cleaners.
