The DSEP30-03A is a 300V, 30A fast recovery epitaxial diode from IXYS, designed for high-frequency switching applications. It features a typical reverse recovery time of 25ns and a maximum forward voltage of 1.55V at 30A and 25°C. The diode has a non-repetitive peak surge current rating of 300A and a maximum power dissipation of 165W at 25°C case temperature.
The device is packaged in a TO-247-2 (TO-247AD) through-hole package with a weight of 6g and a mounting torque range of 0.8 to 1.2 Nm. It operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 175°C and has a junction-to-case thermal resistance of 0.9 K/W.
Typical applications include antiparallel diodes for high-frequency switching devices, snubber diodes, freewheeling diodes in converters and motor control circuits, and rectifiers in switch mode power supplies (SMPS) and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS).
