The IXYS DSEI2X61-04C is a fast recovery diode module containing two independent FRED (Fast Recovery Epitaxial Diode) chips in a single SOT-227B miniBLOC package. It is designed for high frequency switching applications requiring low reverse recovery losses and soft recovery behavior.
Key electrical specifications include a maximum repetitive reverse voltage of 400V, an average forward current of 60A (at TC=70°C, rectangular waveform, duty cycle 0.5), and a maximum reverse recovery time of 50ns (35ns typical). The forward voltage is typically 1.8V at 60A and 25°C, and the reverse leakage current is limited to 200µA at 25°C. The module can handle non-repetitive peak forward current up to 550A for 10ms.
The module features planar passivated chips, very short recovery time, extremely low switching losses, and low IRM values. The package provides 2500V RMS isolation voltage (50/60Hz) and is chassis mountable with a junction-to-case thermal resistance of 0.7 K/W. Operating temperature range is -40°C to 150°C.
Typical applications include antiparallel diodes for high frequency switching devices, anti-saturation diodes, snubber diodes, freewheeling diodes in converters and motor control circuits, and rectifiers in switch mode power supplies.
The maximum repetitive reverse voltage (VRRM) is 400V.
The average forward current (IFAVM) is 60A at TC=70°C (rectangular, duty cycle 0.5).
The typical forward voltage is 1.8V at 60A and 25°C, and 1.5V at 150°C.
The maximum reverse recovery time is 50ns (35ns typical) at IF=1A, -di/dt=200A/µs, VR=30V, and 25°C.
It is housed in a SOT-227-4 (miniBLOC) package, with supplier device package SOT-227B.
The operating junction temperature range is -40°C to 150°C.
The isolation voltage (VISOL) is 2500V RMS at 50/60Hz.
