The KDS DSA221SDN is a high-precision Voltage-Controlled Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillator (VC-TCXO) and Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillator (TCXO) designed for surface mounting. It is suitable for demanding applications such as mobile phones, GPS/GNSS systems, and industrial wireless communication equipment.
This oscillator series supports a wide output frequency range from 9.6 MHz to 52 MHz, with standard frequencies including 16.3676MHz, 26MHz, and 33.6MHz. It operates with a supply voltage range of +1.68V to +3.5V, with common nominal voltages being 1.8V, 2.6V, 2.8V, 3.0V, and 3.3V. The device features low current consumption, typically 1.5mA to 2.5mA depending on frequency, and a very low standby current of 3µA max.
Key electrical characteristics include excellent frequency stability, with ambient temperature deviation of ±1.5 x 10⁻⁶ max. after 2 reflows. Temperature stability options include ±1.0 x 10⁻⁶ or ±0.5 x 10⁻⁶ over -30 to +85°C, with an optional range of -40 to +85°C. Power supply voltage variation and load variation effects on frequency stability are minimal, at ±0.2 x 10⁻⁶ max.
The DSA221SDN is housed in a compact 2520 package (2.5 x 2.0 mm) and is designed for surface mounting. It is supplied on tape and reel, with a standard package quantity of 2000 pieces per reel for the DSA321SDN series, and 3000 pieces per reel for other series including the DSA221SDN. The device also features a standby function for power management.
